All about Events!

Thanks so much for joining my cropping group! I am excited to have you try us out and see if this is something that will bring you as much joy as it’s brought me!

Because I am fortunate to have a permanent rented workshop space, I am able to host multiple events every month. I do request registration in advance, either by paying via the PayPal button on the event page on my website, or contacting me directly to make other arrangements. Most events I am able to allow registration at any time, however for some of the classes and retreats there is a registration deadline.

I hold several types of events, and hopefully one of them will work for you:

Crops: “Crop” is scrapbook lingo for a workshop where people bring whatever project they’re currently working on and we all do our own thing.  You will need your own tools and supplies for this.  Right now I do weekly Wednesday day crops and twice-monthly Friday/Saturday crops.  On Wednesdays you can bring your own lunch or go in on a food order from whatever restaurant we pick that week.  On weekends we do potluck meals so please bring something to share.  (If you prefer not to do potluck meals you are of course welcome to bring your own food instead too!)

Classes: for classes, your class fee generally includes all the consumable supplies you will need.  Depending on the class you might need to bring your own adhesive and cutting tools, which will be included in the class description.  We don’t have meals at these, but I do have my snack table and some drinks available (soda/coffee/water).  This category includes Beginner/Returning Scrapbooking, Layout Classes and One and Done Theme Album classes.

Happy Album Circle: this is an ongoing group event where we gather on the first Tuesday of the month and work on our memories from the previous month. It’s a great way to keep up with the NOW even if your other scrapbooking projects are looking at many years ago. You can jump into this at any time, however it is something you will want to commit to for multiple months!

Special Events: twice a year I hold a multi-day event that is supported by Creative Memories corporate with exclusive items and themes.  These are Croptoberfest in the fall and National Scrapbook Day in the spring.  These combine classes and open crop time, and to make it special I have the meals catered.  

Retreats:  3-4 times a year we run away from our other responsibilities and head to someplace fun for a weekend retreat.    These events include lots of crop time plus goody bags, optional layout classes, tool demonstrations and door prizes.  Several meals are included in your retreat fee. I’m always on the lookout for a great retreat venue, so if you know of something feel free to share that info with me!

I sell Creative Memories products, which I truly think are the best scrapbooking supplies available.  However I know that it’s a big papercrafting world out there, and I am okay with people bringing other brands of products to my events.  All I ask is that you do not promote competing products — it is the sale of CM products that allows me to continue holding these events!
