Happy Birthday Creative Memories!

Happy October, scrapbook friends! My September was a doozy and I am looking forward to life settling down now, just in time for it to get crazy again during the holiday season! Thanks to all who have continued to reach out to ask about my son’s health. He is doing GREAT - he’s completely off the walker, and although he’s still a bit unsteady sometimes, the Physical Therapists are working their magic with him and we see daily improvement.

Special note: If you or someone in your household has been impacted by the government shutdown, please know you are welcome to attend my Wednesday day crops free of charge for the duration of the shutdown. Scrapbooking is about community, connection, and creativity—and I’d love for you to have a place to relax and recharge during this time. Contact me for details.

Shoutout to those who looked for me at the Madison Street Festival this year — I totally forgot to let you know that I had decided not to have a booth this year, even before my world went sideways with my son’s brain tumor diagnosis. I actually didn’t consciously make the decision not to do it, but turns out that neglecting to make a decision is its own decision!! However I would have had to back out anyway, so it’s probably for the best. Still deciding if I will do it again next year (when the festival will happen ON my birthday - not sure that’s how I want to celebrate!)

This week we are also celebrating the “birthday” of the new Creative Memories, 11 years ago. CM has a fun gift with purchase promo, plus we have our traditional Christmas collection! (I’ll give you a hint that there is something else coming out next week - I did the Playbook for it and you’re gonna LOVE it!! I thought it was part of this release and I’m impatient to show it to you!)

Event Schedule

The schedule of events at my studio in Madison, Alabama looks a little different this month because of Croptoberfest, and both sessions of that are sold out, but hopefully if you want to come crop with us we can still find a way to fit you in!

Pre-registration is required to make sure you have a spot, but it’s always worth contacting me if you find yourself available at the last minute!

Wednesday Day Crops: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Wednesday October 8, 15*, 22, 29. No frills, just time to work on your current projects. Bring your lunch or we can go in together on a DoorDash order from a restaurant we agree on. I will actually not be there on the 15th, I have to take Alex to his surgical follow-up at Vanderbilt, but my regular Wednesday crew is going to cover for me.

October Happy Album Circle:
In Person: Tuesday, October 7th, 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Virtual: Wednesday, October 8th, 6:00 - 8:00 pm

Weekend Crops: Friday, noon - 9:00 pm and/or Saturday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. October 24 and/or 25. You’re welcome to sign up for both days (and leave your stuff out overnight!) or choose just one of them. We do potluck meals but I never want that to scare anyone away. :)

Project Recipe Layout Class, 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Tuesday, October 28th. (This is a change from the date I had in my last email - I forgot that I have a conflict on the 21st, sorry!)

Croptoberfest!

Both of our Croptoberfest Sessions (October 9-11 and October 16-18) are SOLD OUT. If you would like to be put on a waiting list in case of a cancellation, please let me know.

I’m looking forward to our Croptoberfest season, and of course to all those holidays and activities that are coming up over the next few months.

As a special bonus for all of you who have read to the end, I will let you know that there is going to be another new product release NEXT Monday - watch my Nicole’s Scrapbook Friends page on Friday for a sneak peek (possibly Thursday??) but I can tell you it’s one that I got to do the Project Playbook for and I absolutely LOVE this collection! I was working on the Playbook when Alex’s brain tumor was diagnosed, and was so afraid that I wouldn’t be able to get it done and they would give it to someone else!! But one of the days after the surgery my husband came up to Nashville to stay with Alex so I could come home overnight and have a day to finish things up and I was able to turn it in on time!!

So… I’ll be back in this spot one week from today, and I hope you’ll agree that it’s worth its own release date! (Don’t forget to ask for the $10 shipping credit too!!) Secret Box #4 is also scheduled for later this month, and who knows what other surprises CM will have for us??
