Hello again, scrapbook friends! I did “warn” you that I’d be back in your inbox today, right? I try SO HARD not to spam you, but I also don’t want you to miss out on anything. It’s a fine line to walk. I’d love feedback - what do you prefer - all the emails, or just the “important” emails? (Of course I have to tell you I feel like they are all important!)

The new Die Cutting System is HERE! Advisors got to see it last year as a sneak peek, but CM made some (minor) changes to it and so we’ve had to wait a while to get the final product! Plus, Croptoberfest registration is open NOW! I do expect this event to sell out, hopefully not too quickly, but if it will let you sign up then there is still space available. Once a session fills up the registration form will indicate that and I will start a wait list.

Wednesday Day Crops: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

No frills, just time to work on your current projects. Bring your lunch or we’ll go in together on a DoorDash order. $10.

Weekend Crops: Friday noon - 9 pm and/or Saturday 10 am - 6 pm
August 28 & 29 (potluck crop)
$20 for one day or $30 for both days

Project Recipe Class: 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Come create two double page layouts using some of CM’s newest collections. I’ll provide the “ingredients” and the directions and we’ll build the layouts together. $20 basic or $35 deluxe (which includes 2 packs of stickers).

Die Cutting System

One of the complaints CM gets the most often is “I am running out of room for all these punches!” (But we don’t stop buying them, am I right?) So to try to help solve that problem, they are jumping into the die cutting world.

The Creative Memories Die Cut Machine is TINY - about the size of a grapefruit - and not very heavy, but is sturdy and easy to use. The two sides flip down to accept the plastic plates you sandwich your paper and dies between.

There is special introductory pricing for the FIRST FIVE DAYS only - $109.50 for the machine and starter plates, plus some cute (and optional) smiley face stickers so you can customize your machine to fit your own personality. There is also a bundle with the first set of dies which all come packaged on magnet sheets for storage, plus two embossing folders to give you a textured base for layers.

After Friday at noon the price for the starter bundle will go up to $129.00. The ONLY way to get the actual machine is through this bundle.

Do I “need” the Die Cutting System?

I know many of us already own die cutting machines, so you may be wondering if you “need” the CM version. Maybe the machine you already have will work with the CM dies!

The Creative Memories dies and folders will likely work in any machine - assuming your base plates are long enough for the 12” border dies. You may have to adjust the “sandwich” that some die cutting machines use.

Other brands of dies and folders will probably work in the CM machine - if they fit! Our machine is specifically designed for the 12” border dies and only cuts up to 3” wide, so if you have “card sized” dies they probably won’t work.

The plates will likely NOT work in other machines - you always want to stick with that manufacturer’s suggested plates/platforms.
