Greetings from beautiful St. George Island, Florida, scrapbook friends! I love my Creative Memories business, but I will admit it takes up a lot of my weekends, so when I had an open date on my calendar I seized the opportunity to have a short getaway with my husband down to the Florida Gulf Coast. It is absolutely beautiful here and I’m writing this sitting on the deck looking at the ocean! Yes, it is taking longer than normal because of that!

Thanks to everyone who attended Mission 15 of the Rocket City Scrapbook retreat last weekend! I think we all agree it was the best one yet, and the hotel is everything we’ve been looking for! I am working on dates for early 2024 and those of you who are subscribed to my newsletter will get the first opportunities to register!

Tuesday ZOOM crops (10:00 am - noon)* August 15, 22 & 29.

Wednesday Day Crops (9:00 am - 2:30 pm) Wednesday, September 13 and 20, October 4, 11, 18, 25. No day crop on September 27th because I neglected to pay attention to details when I booked my trip to California later this month and the flight that I thought would bring me home on Tuesday night actually doesn’t get me home till Wednesday morning. Oops!

Happy Album Circle:
I underestimated how tired I would be after the retreat, so we have bumped our Happy Album Circle back one week.
In person, Tuesday, September 12, 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Virtual, Wednesday, September 13, 7:00 - 9:00 pm
We will be moving our events to the SECOND week of the month going forward, so October 10/11, November 14/15 and December 12/13. (November 15th is technically the 3rd week but I think it’s going to be easier to keep the dates next to each other!)

Project Recipe Layout Class (6:00 - 8:00 pm): Tuesday, September 19. Create two layouts using Autumn Harvest and a “mystery” Project Recipe! (We’ll be using an older layout design with a mystery paper pack!)

Weekend crops (Friday noon - 9:00 pm and/or Saturday 10:00 am - 6:00 pm) Our regular cropping events. We’re glad to have you whether you can attend one of the days or both! I’ll contact you a couple of days ahead to talk about our potluck plans!

September 29 & 30 - “Zoo Pals” theme! Let’s get wild!

*Zoom crops happen every Tuesday morning whether I am able to attend or not - several of the girls go on without me!

Croptoberfest!!

Fall is in the air, which means it’s almost time for Croptoberfest! Once again I am offering TWO sessions so that I will have room for everyone. I am changing things up a little bit this time, to accommodate those of you who are coming in from out of town, so hopefully it will feel more like a “staycation” retreat! (I am happy to help you find a hotel that’s close by the venue if you need that!)

October 26 - 28 OR November 2-4

Each event will be Thursday night from 5-9 pm and Friday and Saturday from 10 am - 9 pm. Lunch/dinner are provided as part of your crop fee. You’ll have your own 6’ crop table, goody bag, layout classes, make & takes and a Paper Buffet!

Who else loves shimmer paper? We have been telling CM for ages that we NEED more shimmer colors, and they’ve listened! Bonus if you love purples and reds!

Starting Monday, when you purchase any combination of 6+ limited edition Shimmer Paper packs, you’ll earn the Berry Punch Shimmer paper FREE!

The colors that qualify for this buffet are all new except for the Mars Shimmer (which was only available in the Showtime sampler pack) and the Starry Night Shimmer (which is a current color).

New Product Bundles

CM is trying something new this time, probably to prevent some of the more popular products from selling out so fast! With the following two collections, the ONLY way to purchase these on Monday will be in a bundle. Starting on Friday the 15th (or when one of the bundle components sells out), whatever is left will be available for purchase separately. They have told us that they have ordered different quantities of items based on projected popularity so I’m hopeful that we will see some of these available after the bundles are gone.
