Vivid Melodies, Molten Lava and MORE Mother’s Day!

Greetings from Copenhagen, Scrapbook friends! Yes, I know I have been doing a lot of travel lately, and it’s been fun but OH so exhausting! Nobody warned me about how different life becomes once your kids grow up and it’s easier to sneak away from home for a while. I should have started a travel savings account years ago!

I’m here visiting my sister Julie and it’s been absolutely lovely. Some of you have been able to meet her since she’s come to a few of my Huntsville retreats! The weather has been great (a little chilly for my Alabama self) and Copenhagen is a beautiful city. Best of all, Julie is okay with me and my slow-paced travel style which has also allowed for lots of time sitting and visiting and not TOO much time going and going. Thankfully she gets to live here for several months so isn’t pushing me to hustle! It’s why I have time to write this to you!

Thankfully the way the time zones work, I shouldn’t miss out on Monday’s new CM products order - and will be home in time to have all the new stuff at the crop on Friday and Saturday!

Coming Monday we have the return of Vivid Melodies - color themed collections which coordinate with some of our newer cardstock colors, plus an updated version of the Mother’s Day bundles which sold out SO fast when they were released on the Friday before Mother’s Day that I didn’t even have time to send an email about them! AND a return of the super popular Molten Lava paper buffet!! Read on for details!

Event Schedule

We are so lucky to be able to hold regular events at my studio in Madison, Alabama. CM rules don’t allow me to have a “store” but I am allowed a permanent crop venue, and anyone is welcome to drop in and shop when we are there for scheduled events.

If you want to come crop, please register using the google form at the bottom of this section - if any event is full that will be listed on the form so you’ll know whether or not I’ll have a spot for you.

Wednesday Day Crops: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Wednesday May 27. No frills, just time to work on your current projects. Bring your lunch or we’ll go in together on a DoorDash order. $10. (Sorry to skip out on the two middle Wednesdays of the month but I will be around the whole month of June!)

Weekend Crops: Friday noon - 9 pm and/or Saturday 10 am - 6 pm

Project Recipe Class: 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Tuesday, May 26
Come create two double page layouts using some of CM’s newest collections. I’ll provide the “ingredients” and the directions and we’ll build the layouts together. $20 basic or $35 deluxe (which includes 2 packs of stickers).

Memories Matter Alzheimer’s Fundraiser

I am BEYOND THRILLED with the response to our 2026 Memories Matter fundraiser! Thank you to all who have so generously donated!

The in-person crop on June 12 & 13 is FULL (with a wait list!) but we would still love to have you participate in the virtual event on June 20th, where we have FIFTEEN talented Creative Memories designers who will be sharing exclusive layouts with us.

I will also be offering a zoom option during the virtual event - I can’t promise I personally will be online the whole time, but the zoom room will be open for anyone who wants to hang out with us in between layout tutorial videos.

Vivid Melodies 2

As scrapbookers, we love decorative, themed papers, but sometimes you just need a colored paper to finish off your layout. The Vivid Melodies 2 collection gives you lots of great options for when you want a little more than a solid cardstock but something that will coordinate with many themes. We had a similar collection a couple of years ago, and this time they are giving us some lovely new colors, plus punches and even some coordinating vellum papers!

The color options this time are Canary, Deep Orchid, Cornflower and Island Waters. You can buy a paper pack, stickers and embellishments pack for each of the colors, plus some title embellishments that coordinate with all three.

The vellum papers come in two packs, one that matches Canary & Cornflower and the other that goes with Deep Orchid & Island Waters. I think both of those color combinations look amazing together!

There are also two tools that coordinate with this collection, the Winding Vines Border Punch and the Diamond Chevron Chain BMC.

The only downside to having so many pieces in the collection is that makes the Buy-it-All bundle a bit more than we are used to - but if you know you love it all and want to save 10% AND get the Project Playbook (which also requires the use of your choice of Designer Paper and stickers - the playbook uses Lakeside Memories), it’s a great option!

Of course they are also all available separately so you can mix and match the parts you want!

I was asked to create the Project Recipe for Vivid Melodies 2 - it was tough to work with such a monochromatic palette but I love how it turned out! We will be doing this Project Recipe at our JUNE Project Recipe night (and I’ll be giving you a color choice!) and I hope to have a YouTube tutorial video filmed soon after I get home from Copenhagen. I ~meant~ to do it before I left, but just didn’t have time!

Molten Lava Papers Return!

I think it was just last summer that we saw the Molten Lava papers for the first time, and they were wildly popular. I am not quite sure how to describe this paper - it’s a (visually) textured metallic on a cardstock base, and adds such a great, elegant shimmered effect to your layouts! CM is offering this as a “buffet” which for them means if you purchase any six packs of papers you will earn the Cornflower Molten Lava pack free! Easiest way would be to purchase with a one-click bundle that gets you all seven at once.

Please note that unlike our regular Designer Papers the Molten Lava papers come in a package of 6 for $12.

If you are local to me, once again I will be offering a sampler pack where you get two sheets of each color instead of needing to buy all the packs - but I don’t usually stock extra full packs, so if there’s one you think you’re going to love don’t wait till you see the sampler pack to decide!

Mother’s Day Bundles part 2!

My apologies to anyone who doesn’t follow me on social media who completely missed the Mother’s Day bundles that CM announced on an off-schedule Friday, and they sold out within three hours!! But they brought back an alternative option and I actually think I like this one better!

CM thinks the bundles sold out because of the extras but I think it was because of the beautiful album covers!

The 12x12 Lavender Dust Mi Amor album cover with a foiled purple heart design is bundled with three FREE Noteworthy Days Simple Page Kits, #3, 4 & 5. That’s an $18 value free with the $40 album cover purchase.

I do anticipate these will sell out fast as well - hopefully CM has prepared themselves!
