Want Text Updates??

Thanks to all of you who are subscribed to my email list! However, sometimes CM comes out with a promo or a limited release product that doesn’t align with one of my scheduled emails. You know I never want to spam anyone - AND I know a surprising number of people don’t check their email on a regular basis! So, I am trying something new and I hope you’ll help me with my experiment - a texting service!

I plan to send about one text a week, at most, if there is something specific that I feel like you might like to know. Please note that this does NOT come from my personal phone number, so if you respond to a text I may not see it right away. (I DO check my email multiple times a day, so that’s usually the best way to reach me!)

Rocket City Scrapbook Retreat Mission 16 is a GO! I hope to open registration for it in my next email! But save the dates: February 28 - March 2, 2024 at the Spring Hill Suites Huntsville (where we had the most recent retreat).

Croptoberfest!!

There are only THREE spots left for the October 26-28 session of Croptoberfest. November 2-4 is completely sold out (and overbooked - thanks to the two digital croppers who are willing to share a table!)

If you want one of those last three spots at the October event, you better grab it quick! Once they are filled I will turn off the registration option, so if it will still let you register you don’t need to check with me first. :)

Bring your kids for a Halloween craft!

Drop by my studio for a few minutes to create three darling Halloween cards with glow-in-the-dark accents! This is the perfect starter activity for new and/or young crafters, so you’re invited to bring your child/grandchild with you. You can do the kit together or each do your own! Registration is required at least 24 hours in advance.

If you don’t want to attend the class I should have a few of the kits available for sale and those of you who’ve done our card kits know the directions are clear enough that you can do them at home. Let me know if you would prefer a kit “to go”.

New Shimmer Colors

Hooray hooray! If you remember, a month ago we had the limited opportunity to purchase Gold Shimmer paper, but it sold out in just a couple of days. However, they have apparently heard our pleas and the Gold Shimmer paper is now a “permanent” addition to our product line! (CM doesn’t use the word permanent when talking about what will be available in the product line, but they are not calling this limited edition so I have high hopes!) They have also released Brown Shimmer paper, which I am excited about! Find them on the “What’s New” page or the Shimmer Paper page on the website.

The Shimmers are referred to as “Solid-Core Paper” and that just means they’re about the same weight as our Designer print paper (not cardstock) but they aren’t printed on white paper (like the Designer/Tone-on-Tone papers), they are solid colored all the way through.

New Happy Album Planners!

I seriously had three different people contact me last week asking “when are we going to get the new Happy Albums?” and I am so glad my prediction was correct that they would be coming out at midmonth!

And we do! Three gorgeous new Happy Album covers! Choose the Sky Blue with 2024 date in Teal foil, the Hunter Green Dotted Stripe or the Clay album covers OR choose a whole bundle that includes the 2024 cover, white pages, the Planner Kit, a repositionable tape runner and a black pen. Covers, pages and the planner kit will also be available separately. (If you don’t love any of these colors and are local to me, I do have a few other options in my inventory, contact me to stop by and see what the other choices are!)

I have LOVED my Happy Album Calendar Journal (you can see more about it in a video I recorded a couple of years ago HERE) and have loved how many of you are doing it with me!! If you think you want to do it again in 2024 I would love to know that. Please fill out the quick SURVEY here.

There’s another fun addition to the Happy Album line this year — something I got to see in a manufacturing preview clear back in November 2021! Horizontal Pocket Pages! I’m not sure I will want these in my Calendar Journal, but I love the idea of these pocket pages for a quick gift album or a temporary holding place for photos that you want to enjoy right now before you get them into a “real” scrapbook.

PLEASE remember that CM’s biggest promo of the year always comes in mid-November for Black Friday. Usually that means a gift with purchase, and lately they have had multiple options to choose from. So you may want to start adding things to your wish list so that when the promos get here and you need to come up with a $150 order or whatever, you’ll have already made your list!

I am not sure what the dates will be of the next couple of releases, there are five Mondays in October so that might mix things up.
