Happy National Scrapbook Day! Well - technically that was yesterday (the first Saturday in May) but many of us celebrate over several weeks! Thanks to those of you who joined me for the first in-person session this past weekend, and I’m looking forward to seeing the second half of our group this coming weekend! May Cropping Events 2024

Day Crops: Wednesday, May 8, 15 and 29 (9:00 am - 2:30 pm).
Happy Album Circle: Tuesday, May 14 (6:00 - 8:00 pm) both in-person and virtual
Weekend Crop: Friday May 31 and/or Saturday June 1*

June 14 & 15 Second annual The Longest Day fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Association with special guest Noreen Smith!

*This is a change from my originally scheduled date, due to the opportunity I have to go away for Memorial Day weekend with my husband. I hope that doesn’t create a hardship for anyone!

June crops will be the Longest Day crop on the 15th and a regular crop on the 28/29th.

I will also be gone for a large part of July so our only weekend cropping event will be July 12/13.

The Longest Day

I still have not managed to find the “perfect” venue for our Longest Day fundraiser, but we’ve reached the point where it has to move forward so as of right now, we will be holding it at my studio in Madison.

Saturday, June 15
9:00 am - 9:00 pm

There will be both in-person and virtual options for this event. And of course, if you cannot participate but would still like to make a donation, that would be very much appreciated!

Because this is a fundraiser AND because I know the big draw is Noreen Smith, Creative Memories’ Creative Product Director (actually I don’t know her complete title - but IYKYK, as they say) the goal is to fit as many people as we possibly can. Ordinarily at my studio everyone gets their own 6’ table, but for this one-day event we will likely be sharing tables. I know that will be a sacrifice but I think we agree it will be worth it!

As of right now the only option is a full-day event with a $100 donation to the Alzheimer’s Association. This fee is tax deductible but will be completely non-refundable under any circumstances because it goes straight to them.

After May 19 if there are still spaces available I will be opening up the option of partial-day spots.

I apologize for the disorganization — I had a great plan but when CM offered to send Noreen to us, I have had to scramble to try to figure out how we can get as many people as possible to be able to be in the room with her! But stay tuned and maybe some of the feelers I’ve been putting out will finally bear fruit!

The Longest Day fundraiser 2024

If you live in the North Alabama area and have a family member currently dealing with Alzheimer’s/dementia and/or you know of a local memory care facility that we can contact for our community outreach event happening in conjunction with this fundraiser, please let me know.

Is it possible to have too many colors of cardstock? I haven’t reached that point yet! So I love that CM regularly gives us limited edition colors to help give us options, through their Cardstock Buffets!
