The secret’s out!

Happy January, Scrapbook friends! We survived the Arctic Blast but I have to admit that it was harder than I expected to spend the time scrapbooking - I liked sitting on the couch with my heated blanket too much! Hopefully it will warm up enough that I can have more self discipline. :) I did really really love seeing snow blanketing the Deep South via Facebook - we lived in SE Alabama for many years and I can imagine how much more fun it was for the people down that way!

This is hopefully a quick update, just letting you know about the plan for Secret Boxes in 2025 and the release of my February event schedule.

Also, if you are planning to attend the Rocket City Scrapbook Retreat February 27-March 2 please be aware that the hotel room block expires TODAY so be sure you’ve made your reservation!

2025 Happy Album Social Circle

Last year we did an “experiment” of combining the in-person and virtual Happy Album Circles and, well, it didn’t work so well. So this year we are going back to separate events.

Please note that if you purchased your Happy Album from me you can attend the virtual sessions for FREE all year. If you purchased from someone else (I know many of you are Advisors) it’s just $20 for the whole year.

In person is $100 for the whole year or $10 per monthly session.

The in-person Happy Album Circle will be on the first THURSDAY of the month, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at my studio in Madison. (Except February! Oops! It’ll be the first Tuesday, the 4th!)

The virtual Happy Album Circle will be on the second WEDNESDAY of the month, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Zoom. I messed up on communicating the dates of the kickoff night (so sorry) so we will be trying again this week, on January 29th.

Mom & Me Quarterly Crops

I have ONE spot left for our first Mom & Me crop THIS SATURDAY, so if you have a kid in your life who you’d like to have a creative day out with, I hope you’ll consider joining us! Due to the snow earlier this month we’ll be doing a snow/winter themed project — and then the other sessions this year will be themed around Spring, Summer and Fall. Sounds fun, doesn’t it?

2025 Simple Page Kit Club

Our first session of the Simple Page Kit club is THIS Friday, January 31st from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. I have the kits for those who have pre-registered, but unfortunately CM sold out of the 1st quarter bundles and they won’t be back in stock until Thursday! I DO have some of the January kits if you would like to join us for a quick and easy layout.

Secret Box #1

If you are a fan of the Secret Boxes from CM you are going to want to pay attention to this info!

Secret Box #1 will be available Monday, January 27 at noon Central. It contains $58.50 worth of exclusive CM products and costs $52.50.

There will be FIVE Secret Boxes this year! However, you can ONLY purchase the 5th box if you bought the first four.

ALL the Secret Boxes will include a Border Maker Cartridge (and probably a paper pack, stickers, etc.) I do NOT know exactly how much the pricing will be but hopefully it’ll be around the same each time. **Note that you do need to own the Border Maker System for the cartridges to work!

This is the important part: CM will be tracking which account purchases the boxes, SO if you buy the first one online, you’ll need to buy the other three online as well. If you are local and want me to buy the box for you, you’ll need me to buy all of them for you. Got it?

To make it easier for my local customers (and, okay, for me to keep track) if you would like me to purchase all the boxes for you, please fill out this 2025 Secret Box Club form. If you change your mind halfway through the year you are not required to remain in the club - I just need to know before I order each quarter’s box please if you’ve decided to opt out.

(You can also fill that form out if you don’t want to commit to the whole set, but would like me to order Secret Box #1 for you!)

The only new product coming Monday is the Secret Box so I am not doing a separate pre-order form. If you “need” something else and are local please contact me directly.

For 2025 I have finally figured out a way to make it more fair for my out-of-town customers! I can’t order for you to save on shipping, but if you are going to order on my website I will give you a $10 CM Credit to offset shipping. Just reply to this email before you order and I will transfer it to your account. CM Credits expire 30 days after they are sent so don’t make the request too far in advance. :)

Wish me luck this week as I send my “baby” off across the country to her first grownup job! For a little while I thought I was going to be the one driving out to Utah with her, but turns out her dad is going to do it and I get to stay home! I will miss her but I will NOT miss the 30 hours in a U-Haul!
