Times are “Ruff!”

Hello again, scrapbook friends! This time I am coming to you from the last day of the Rocket City Scrapbook Retreat Mission 19 at the Huntsville Marriott Space & Rocket Center (where it all began) and where we have had a lovely weekend together. I needed this SO MUCH and everyone has been so gracious and kind to me and my family.

My son Alex is HOME and we couldn’t be more thrilled with his progress. He’s still got several weeks of Physical Therapy to get through, but he’s doing very well and we hope he’ll be back to his normal self very soon! They even did a “feel-good” news story about him (and I make an appearance in there!): Alex Soh

For a while I thought I was not going to be able to attend the retreat, but I am so glad that it worked out that I have been able to be here. Scrapbooking is my “happy place” and being around such supportive friends is just the medicine I needed after these past few weeks.

However, it’s always tricky for me when there is a new product release on the day after a retreat - but I can’t be too sad about having to work on this email while I’m wanting to be retreating, because we have such FUN new products for dog owners and Halloween-lovers coming out tomorrow! Read on for details!

Event Schedule

Just a couple more events at my studio in Madison, Alabama. Pre-registration is requested, however if you find yourself unexpectedly free, it’s always worth contacting me to see if I can fit you in! It’s especially important right now that you pre-register so that if I need to contact you with changes I am able to reach you.

Wednesday Day Crops: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Wednesday September 24. No frills, just time to work on your current projects. Bring your lunch or we can go in together on a DoorDash order from a restaurant we agree on. (In October I was supposed to be here for all five Wednesdays, but now I need to take Alex back up to Vanderbilt on the 15th, so I may need to ask Joy to cover for me again that day!)

October Happy Album Circle:
In Person: Tuesday, October 7th, 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Virtual: Wednesday, October 8th, 6:00 - 8:00 pm

Weekend Crops: Friday, noon - 9:00 pm and/or Saturday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. September 26 & 27. You’re welcome to sign up for both days (and leave your stuff out overnight!) or choose just one of them. We do potluck meals but I never want that to scare anyone away. :)

October is pretty full with Croptoberfest on the 9-11th and 16-18 but I think I will be adding a regular weekend crop on October 24th and 25th, assuming everything continues to go well with Alex. Registration for that will open in my next email. :)

Project Recipe Layout Class, 6:00 - 8:00 pm
I have decided that I just can’t do the Project Recipe class in September. If you have prepaid for this class I will be in touch about refunding you or rolling over your fee to October 21. Thanks for understanding. :)

Croptoberfest!

I have TWO spots left for each of the Croptoberfest sessions so if you haven’t signed up yet you will want to do that ASAP. Once a session is full I will note that on the Google sign up sheet - if the one you “need” isn’t available, contact me to be put on a waiting list in case someone else has to change their plans.

Ruffin’ It Colletion

Calling all dog lovers! This collection is for you. (Sorry, cat people - because there is still a good supply of last year’s Purr-Fect Kitty Cat collection available, nothing new for us this time — although the punch and album cover will work for cats too!)

Hide and Eek!

Several of you have asked me “when are we getting new Halloween stuff?” and the answer is NOW! Coming Monday is the cute new mini collection Hide & Eek! - mini in that it’s just a 6-pack of paper and a set of stickers.

BUT there are two SUPER CUTE albums also coming out with this, and OH how I love them both. Why do the Halloween albums always have to be my favorite? I just don’t have that many Halloween photos to scrapbook!!

The Orange Mica Ghost Album Cover comes in 12x12 and the Black Mica Skeletons Album Covers are available in both 12x12 or 8x8!

Twice a year CM releases 8x8 album covers in limited seasonal colors and designs. This year we have five of them! Stone Green or Raspberry Rouge solid covers, or Elegant Plaid on Silver Metallic bookcloth, Falling Leaves on Pumpkin bookcloth, or Tiles on Terra Cotta bookcloth.
These will be available from September 22 - October 31 or while supplies last.

Iff you are local and able to pick up your order at one of the events at my studio in Madison, PLEASE order on this google form: Local Pickup Pre-Order Form. This makes it SO MUCH EASIER for me to keep up with what you want! I will turn off this form at about 11:30 am on Monday so if you want me to order anything for you please fill it out before then. (If you need something between new product release days, just email me - I order at least once a week most of the time!)

If you are not able to pick up your order (because you aren’t local, or you are just too impatient to wait till we can get together) I am happy to gift you a $10 CM Credit to help offset your shipping charged. Thanks as always for reading to the end! I am so grateful for you and your support of my Creative Memories business that has given me a job where I was able to take time off to be with my son when he needed me. All these relationships I’ve been able to build with so many wonderful scrapbookers have lifted me up over the past month. Your kindness, compassion and love for me and my family have been truly felt, whether it’s through those who were able to visit Alex in the rehab hospital (even those who had never met him!), those who have sent cards or gifts, the fabulous outpouring of supportive Facebook and YouTube comments, and of course the countless prayers that I know many of you and your church communities have offered on our behalf. What a beautiful thing it is that technology has made us friends even when we can’t connect in person!
