Scrapbooking is “Berry” Fun!

Happy Shark Week, scrapbook friends! We had a very fun shark-themed crop this past weekend with an almost full house (which meant for some VERY food for our potluck meals!)

In this email I have some GREAT news about our September Rocket City Scrapbook Retreat, plus signups for August events, and of course the new products launching Monday, including Secret Box #3!

If you are used to ordering for pickup with me in Madison, please be aware that I am going to be heading out of town for several weeks, so be sure to read the pick-up information carefully (especially if you are ordering a Secret Box!) If you are planning to order online PLEASE read the order info section so I can help offset your shipping charges. :)

Event Schedule

My studio in Madison, Alabama will be CLOSED from Thursday, July 24 through Monday, August 18. If you are used to dropping by to shop during events, your last chance to stock up before I leave is this week Wednesday, July 23. (Of course if you have a “scrapbooking emergency”, let me know and I bet my husband would run over and help you out!)

So there is one more Wednesday Day Crop before I leave, and I am opening up registration for August events as of today as well.

Wednesday Day Crops: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm (new time for 2025)
Wednesday, July 23, August 20 & 27. No frills, just time to work on your current projects. Bring your own lunch or we usually go in on a DoorDash order. Wednesdays never sell out so if you decide in the morning that you need a spontaneous crafting day, shoot me a message and odds are we can fit you in!

Tuesday, August 26. No idea which layouts we are doing this month - it depends on what CM releases between now and then! You can also add on the monthly Simple Page Kit for an additional $5 (it’s a $6 retail value!)

THANK YOU to everyone who has hung on with me through the crazy adventure I’ve had trying to get things worked out for our retreat. Turns out that telling the Marriott “okay, never mind” worked WONDERS in getting them to come back with a more reasonable quote!

Retreat cost is $250 and includes your own 6’ cropping table, goody bag with exclusive Creative Memories items, door prizes, Sketch challenges and five meals: dinner Thursday, Friday and Saturday and lunch Friday and Saturday.

Registration is currently open ONLY to those subscribed to this email. Please do not share the information with others until it opens to everyone on July 25th and I post the registration info in the Facebook Group. We are limited to 40 spots and I want to give priority to those of you who I have an existing relationship with.

Secret Box #3

It’s time for our third secret box of the year! Remember that to have the opportunity to purchase Box #5, you need to have ordered all the others THE SAME WAY. So if you ordered on your own you need to order your own again. If you ordered through me, I need to order this one for you.

The official box opening will be on Friday, August 8th during the August Virtual Crop — but of course I will be gone! So if I am ordering your box for you, you have a few options:

If you can pick it up Wednesday before 5 pm I will order Monday and pay 2-day shipping to get it here by about noon on Wednesday.

Otherwise, I will still order Monday and pay standard shipping which should get it here Thursday or Friday. My sweet husband has agreed to go over to the studio for box/new product pickup two times: Saturday, July 26 from 10:00 - 11:00 am OR Tuesday, July 29 from 5:30 - 6:30 pm.

If none of those times work for you, you can pick it up from me when I get back starting August 19th (but of course that means you won’t have it for the Virtual Crop), OR I’m sure my husband will be willing to work with your schedule.

I do not have any idea of what is in the Secret Box, but the marketing images on the photo above might have a clue. Any guesses?

Berry Harvest

Anybody else have memories of watching Strawberry Shortcake years ago? I was a little too old to be really into it, but OH my sisters loved it and we had a VHS copy of some Strawberry Shortcake Bake-Off. Ever since I saw this collection I can hear the words “The Peculiar Purple Pie Man of Porcupine Peak!” and I think it’s in my mom’s “silly” voice. Strawberry Shortcake in Big Apple City, maybe??

Cardstock Buffet Bringback!

Last summer’s Cardstock Buffet featured this fun paper, which is white with multi-colored specks. I didn’t think this is one I would “need,” but once I used it I loved the little bit of “visual texture” it added to my layouts. It sold out first of all the colors they offered, so CM has brought it back! I don’t know if it’s a “permanent” color but hopefully it will be around for a while.

As always, if you are local and able to pick up your order at one of the events at my studio in Madison, PLEASE order on this google form: Local Pickup Order Form. Make sure you’ve read the details about how my summer travels are going to impact pickup this month. If you’re not in a hurry to get it then I’ll just see you when I get back! If you want it for pickup this week, I must have your order by 11 am Monday!

Thank you!!

I’m so thankful to have a job that allows me to take a month off in the middle of the summer! It wasn’t really my plan to be gone that long, I was just going to a CM Advisor training retreat in Fresno for the weekend, but it’s turned into a massive adventure that includes theme parks, a court hearing (I’m just going for support!), and a wedding! All those things that I have to pack for in ONE suitcase! Wish me luck!!

Thanks to all of you for what you bring to our awesome scrapbooking community! I have had several reminders lately about how people come together to give support and love for the people they’ve come to know through crafting together.
