Happy December!

Happy December, Scrapbook friends! I don’t know about you but I can’t get my brain around today being December 1st! Thanksgiving was late, and yet it feels like we should have another week of November still to go!

Thanks to all of you who stopped by my open house on Friday and Saturday! It was so great to have a minute to visit with most of you!! If you MEANT to stop by, or were out of town for the holiday, I am opening up for a final few hours on Monday, December 2nd from 3 pm till 7 pm. I’d love to see you - I have a free gift for everyone who attends, door prizes, make & takes, some shopping deals and some yummy snacks!

December event registration is now open, and because of the holidays we’ve had to move a couple of events from our normal schedule, so please take note of the changes! All events are held at my studio in Madison, Alabama.

Denim Revival Layout Class

For many years I have been teaching “use the pack” classes at my retreats, and I’ve had requests from people who were unable to attend to do a virtual option - so I am giving it a try!

The first class I am offering is the Denim Revival class. It’s $10 for an individual purchase or $25 if you are a CM Advisor and would like to be able to print multiple copies to teach to your own customers. (If you were at one of my retreats this year you may have already taken this class!)

Your fee will give you the printable directions to create six double page layouts using the Denim Revival Collection AND the link to a private YouTube video where I walk you through the whole process. This is a pre-recorded class so you can watch it at your own convenience (but I also think most of the layouts will be easy to do with just the printed directions!)

Rocket City Scrapbook Retreat - Mission 18

Hi there - I had told several of you that I would be able to open registration for our Mission 18 retreat weekend today, but there are some hiccups with getting the contract signed so it’s going to have to wait a couple of weeks. People subscribed to my email list get priority registration so watch for my next email at midmonth! :)

Jumpstart January

By popular demand, I am once again offering my Jumpstart January layout challenge! Every day at 9 am Central during the month of January, I will be posting an inspiration layout or sketch in a dedicated Facebook group. You will have 24 hours to create a layout based on that idea and post a photo of it in the group.

Everyone who completes the daily challenge will be entered to win $10 in CM Credits (to spend on the website). Everyone registered for the challenge (whether you complete any layouts or not!) will be entered to win a weekly prize of $25 in CM Credits.

If you complete all 31 layouts by the end of the month your name will go into a drawing for $100 in CM Credits. For every group of 10 people that complete the challenge I’ll draw for another $100!

I’d like to give a shoutout to Joy Thomas who participated in this challenge in 2024, and as of November 29th when I talked to her about it, has continued to complete a layout a day for the ENTIRE YEAR! I can’t promise this will have the same results for you, but it’s a great way to get started!

Fee for this event is $20 and yes, you do need to be on Facebook to participate (or have a friend on Facebook who can share the sketches with you and post your layouts!)

Here in Alabama we are facing our first super cold weather of the season (please don’t laugh at me if you live in a REALLY cold climate!) and so what better time to think about a warm, tropical vacation??
