Happy May, Scrapbook friends! Oh what fun we had at all THREE National Scrapbook Day weekends together this month - I was especially happy that some of you were able to come twice! It was so great to have the chance to see so many of you that I don’t get to see on a regular basis. Thanks for coming up for the weekend!!

Monday we have the last of the “sneak preview” items I was able to see on the Cabo trip - the By the Seashore collection, and I am FINALLY able to open up registration for our Memories Matter fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Association! I hope you will be able to join us!

We have a bit of an abbreviated crop schedule for May - I am headed out of the country AGAIN - this time to visit my sister who is living in Denmark this semester. I really don’t travel this much ordinarily, I promise! And YES I am just as tired as you think I am! But how can I pass up a free place to stay and a free temporarily-local tour guide?? If you’ve been to Copenhagen and have any “must-see” suggestions for me (yes of course I will be seeing the Little Mermaid statue!) please send those along!

Event Schedule

All events are held at my studio in Madison, Alabama unless otherwise indicated, and drop-in visitors are welcome at any time to check out the space or do some shopping.

If you’d like to stay and crop, preregistration is required so that I can make sure we have enough space and I know who to expect. Please use the google form linked at the end of this section.

Scrap Journal Club: 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Come work on your Scrap Journal or any other quick project you might have.
Tuesday, May 5 $10.

Wednesday Day Crops: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Wednesday May 6 and May 27. No frills, just time to work on your current projects. Bring your lunch or we’ll go in together on a DoorDash order. $10. (I will be in Copenhagen the middle of the month which is why there are no day crops on the 13th and 20th).

Weekend Crops: Friday noon - 9 pm and/or Saturday 10 am - 6 pm

Come create two double page layouts using some of CM’s newest collections. I’ll provide the “ingredients” and the directions and we’ll build the layouts together. $20 basic or $35 deluxe (which includes 2 packs of stickers).

Memories Matter Alzheimer’s Fundraiser

It’s here! Time for our annual Memories Matter fundraiser! Once again I have partnered with fourteen other CM Advisors (well, twelve and two former Advisors, Noreen and Sachi!) to create a virtual event on the Longest Day of the year. The Alzheimer’s Association has changed their fundraising theme from The Longest Day to “Do What You Love to end ALZ” but I still love the Longest Day idea so we are sticking with that. :)

There are a few options for you:

An IN-PERSON fundraiser crop at my studio in Madison on Friday, June 12 and Saturday, June 13. $75 minimum donation to the Alzheimer’s Association. I will provide two meals, there’ll be a goody bag with some exclusive CM items and a layout class.

A Virtual fundraiser event on Facebook/YouTube on Saturday, June 20 (or anytime after that - the videos/handouts/FB group will stay active indefinitely) with a minimum donation of $35.

Or you can do BOTH for $100!

Memories Matter Fundraiser 2026

Space is limited to 22 guests at the in-person event and I expect it will fill up quickly. Once it’s full I will turn off that option on the registration form and post it prominently on the website.

Please note that because I was the originator of this fundraiser the main page is “my” link. Some of the other contributors have created teams as well, and you may see them at the bottom of the page, but you do not have to pick a team - just donate on the main page please!

If you are local and would like me to order for you please fill out my May 4th Preorder form. I will order right at noon on Monday and should have everything delivered in time for the Friday/Saturday crop. Be aware that I will be out of town from the 11th through the 2oth so if you can’t pick up this weekend and don’t want to wait till the 22nd you may want to order yourself - please see the next paragraph!

If you are NOT local or you are local but prefer to order online, I am happy to offer you a $10 CM Credit to offset your shipping charges. This is a small way for me to thank you for choosing to use me as your CM Advisor. I truly appreciate your loyalty!

This offer is open to any of my customers, just email me and say “I am planning to order” and I will transfer the credit to your CM account. If you use a different email address to log in to CM than the one you write me from, let me know the correct address to be able to share the credit. (Please make these requests via email so that I have easy access to your email address which I need to transfer the credit!)

As I am writing this late at night on the “official” National Scrapbook Day, I’m once again reminded of how very lucky I am to get to share this hobby I love with all of you! Thank you for your support of my Creative Memories business that has allowed me to make so many great friends around the country!

Our next product launch is scheduled for May 19th so my next email to you will be coming from Denmark!! After that I hope to not leave the country again for a long time!!
