The scrapbookers have spoken (thanks to all who voted!) and YES by popular demand we will be doing another Jumpstart January Layout Challenge to get us off to a scrappy good start for the new year!

Every day at 9 am Central during the month of January, I will be posting an inspiration layout or sketch in a dedicated Facebook group. You will have 24 hours to create a layout based on that idea and post a photo of it in the group.

Everyone who completes the daily challenge will be entered to win $10 in CM Credits (to spend on the website). Everyone registered for the challenge (whether you complete any layouts or not!) will be entered to win a weekly prize of $25 in CM Credits.

If you complete all 31 layouts by the end of the month your name will go into a drawing for $100 in CM Credits. For every group of 10 people that complete the challenge I’ll draw for another $100! There will also be a “make-up” challenge for anyone who finishes all 31 layouts by February 15.

Fee for this event is $25 and yes, you DO need to be on Facebook to participate (or have a friend on Facebook who can share the sketches with you and post your layouts!)

2025 Jumpstart January

CM has renamed the Happy Album and it is now called the Scrap Journal, so we are renaming our monthly group! This year it’s going to be called the Scrap Journal Club and we will meet (in person) on either the first or second Tuesday of the month, depending on the month. In January we will have our final 2025 session on the first Tuesday (to finish up your 2025 book) and kickoff our 2026 club on the second Tuesday to prep our books for the year.

After that we will meet on the first Tuesday of every month EXCEPT March and April when I will be traveling those weeks. $10 per monthly session OR prepay for the whole year for $100.

New this year for those who buy the annual club membership - if you cannot attend on the scheduled date, you may come to a Friday crop from 6-8 during the same month to “catch up.” (Based on space availability).

On the signup sheet (linked at the end of this email) there are options for those who would like to prepay for the whole year or those who just want to be reminded monthly so that they don’t miss it.

Last year we lost nearly all of our virtual members, so this year I am not offering a virtual option. I am willing to reconsider that if there is enough demand - if you would like me to offer that, please use the same link and let me know that you are interested. Fee would be $25 for the year, and it would probably be the first or second Wednesday.

If you are wanting to get back into scrapbooking but feeling “rusty”, or you just don’t have a lot of time to be able to devote to a multi-hour crop, OR you want a chance to try out every single new collection Creative Memories offers, the Project Recipe Club is for you!

Each month we will meet (usually on the 3rd Tuesday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm) to create TWO Project Recipe layouts using the latest products from CM. All you need to bring is your trimmer and your adhesive and I will provide the rest!

I am trying something new this year and will be including stickers with your finished layout - we’ll do one pack of stickers per four people which should give everyone enough for one layout. OR you can choose the Deluxe Project Recipe Club version where you will get a full pack of stickers for each layout kit.

Prepay for January - June and get six months for the price of five! Or just sign up to get a text or email reminder about the class each month.

Now for our LAST club option! A couple of years ago CM introduced the Simple Page Kits. These consist of three papers: two pre-printed background papers and a cut-apart paper, plus a sticker sheet. Simply follow the cutting guide and assemble the layout as shown on the included instruction sheet. Hopefully at least everyone who attended my Open House has had a chance to try one of these!

The images shown above are the 2025 version using Noteworthy Days, but for 2026 we have a brand new collection called Your Own Way. There will be one new layout each month and if you want to make sure to get them all, if you sign up for the Simple Page Kit Club I will automatically order each month’s kit for you. $36 for six months or prepay for the whole year for $60 and get 12 for the price of 10!

This is not a monthly event, just a way to make sure you don’t miss any of the SPKs.

(You can also choose to purchase each month’s kit as it is released, for $6 plus tax. Prepaying for six months is tax free!)
