Hello scrapbook friends! I’m coming to you this time from the surprisingly chilly Orlando, Florida area where I’ve been on vacation this week with my own family and as of yesterday my brother and his son. We spent five days at Disney World but the reason the two of them came down was to go to Universal, so we invited ourselves to join them, and are attempting those parks for the first time. I feel completely out of my element but I’m excited to have some new things to scrapbook!

Rocket City Scrapbook Retreat

There are only a few more days to sign up for the March 9-12 Rocket City Scrapbook Retreat -this time being held at the beautiful Lake Guntersville State Park Lodge in Guntersville Alabama. I am very excited about this new venue, BUT the hotel does sell out nearly every weekend and so the last day to book hotel rooms there is February 6 - a week from tomorrow! Which means that is pretty much the last day you’ll want to sign up for the retreat! I am sorry to have to have the cutoff so early - I was given bad info when I booked the event! This is likely to be our only time retreating here, unless we absolutely love it, because they’re so hard to book!

As of this time I do not have another retreat on the calendar. I am still struggling to find a venue that has the features and setup I like at a price we can afford. Suggestions are welcome!

Beginner Class

Scrapbooking has brought so much joy to my life, and I am so grateful to the people who helped me on my journey. This year CM is focusing on helping new people learn to scrapbook, and as part of that I plan to offer several opportunities to reach out to those with an interest in preserving their photos or who just need some chances to be creative! We have a couple of cute, exclusive projects for these beginner classes and so if you have a friend who is interested and want to attend with her, I think you’ll get something out of it too!

The sign on the building still says KRAV • MAGA which is the name of the previous self-defense studio, but hopefully when the new Mexican grocery store/taco truck (!) gets done moving in next door we can combine forces and both of us get our signs up soon.

Happy Album Circle: If you are still considering a 2023 Happy Album, it’s not too late! Join us virtually on Wednesday, February 1 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm or in person on Tuesday, February 7 from 6:00 - 9:00.

Wednesday Day Crops: (Almost) Every Wednesday from 9:00 am - 2:30 pm. $10.00. February 1, 8, 15, 22, March 1.

Layout Class: Third Tuesday of the month from 6:00 - 9:00 pm. February 21. This month we will be doing Serenity and Scrap Happy.

Twice monthly Weekend Crops: Friday from noon - 9 pm and/or Saturday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
1st February Crop: February 3 & 4
2nd February Crop: February 17 & 18 (our annual Valentine party!)

Weekly no-frills Zoom Crops: Every Tuesday from 10:00 am - noon Central Time (these happen every week, even if I am not able to join you!) Join the Facebook Group for the current month’s zoom link! If you are not on Facebook please email me for the zoom link. These are not classes, just a time for us to hang out together and work on our projects.

An “apology” promo from CM

If you remember, the December Deals that CM thought would be fun and exciting turned out instead to be stressful and frustrating. They did a survey of Advisors to see what we thought they could do to make it right with customers - and we all said that free money goes a long way! Launch Day updates

New products and the $10 coupon promo launch at NOON Central time on Monday, January 30. I always like the months when we don’t actually have to wait for the month to begin to order the new stuff!

The new Queue-It system is up and running and the IT team at CM will turn that on beginning at 11:30 am. You will not be able to access any part of the website until noon, at which time you’ll be randomly added to a countdown to show when your turn will arrive. The data is monitored in real time by the IT team so keep an eye on the screen as the projected time will hopefully change — and it’s fun to see how many people are in line ahead of you! Kinda like being at Disney World, only your feet don’t hurt when you’re done! If this feels too annoying to you, they only keep it turned on when the site traffic is too much for the system to handle. Last time it was turned off after two hours, so if you want to wait till later in the day you can avoid dealing with the queue. :)

If you are local and would like me to order anything for you, please send me an EMAIL and I will add it to my order for you to pick up at a future crop. I find that if people give me their list through any other format I tend to lose track! If you order through me of course you can’t use the $10 coupon though - but won’t have to pay shipping, so it may be a wash either way.

Love Letters Punch

Looks like quantities are pretty good on the Love Letters Punch that was released to Advisors only two weeks ago. (I tried to put 1000 in my cart and the system let me, which means there are least a thousand left!) This will be added to the customer ordering site starting at noon on Monday as well. It layers perfectly with the currently available Circle Punch too!
