Summer is for Scrapbooking!

Happy June scrapbook friends! I feel like I say this every time but how the heck did it get to be June?? This year is flying by way too fast, and I’m barely keeping up!

Thanks to all of you who were able to join me for one of our two (sold out!) National Scrapbook Day weekends! I always enjoy these big events (and the food!) and cropping in a big group! Thanks for indulging me in letting my daughter give us a virtual tour of her garden!

Event Schedule

If you live close enough to join us at my studio in Madison, Alabama, we would love to have you at an event! Registration/prepayment is required to hold your spot for the crops, but if you just want to check us out (or shop) but not stay to crop just pop in during any event.

Wednesday Day Crops: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm (new time for 2025)
Wednesday, June 4, 11, 18, 25 (almost every Wednesday, although occasionally I have to mix things up a bit).

Happy Album Social Circle: Thursday, June 12, 6:00 - 8:00 pm. This is a change from our usual date because my friend CM Advisor Tessa Chapple will be in town and she is going to come to the event!! So even if you aren’t working on a Happy Album we would love to have you come bring whatever project you like and crop with us.

June Weekend Crop: Friday noon - 9:00 pm and/or Saturday 10:00 am - 6 :00pm. June 13 & 14 Come to both sessions and leave your stuff up overnight OR just pick the one day that works best for your schedule.

Project Recipe Layout Class, 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Tuesday, June 24. we’ll be doing the Legacy of Love and Deeper in the Woods Project Recipes. You can also add on the monthly Simple Page Kit for an additional $5 (it’s a $6 retail value!)

Our other June weekend is being devoted to the Alzheimer’s The Longest Day crop (see the next section)!

The Longest Day fundraiser crop

I am BLOWN AWAY by the response to our 2025 The Longest Day fundraiser to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association! As of this writing our team has raised over $17,000 and just YOU - those who have donated under my team - have donated over $4000!!

Our Virtual event on June 21st is going to be EPIC. I am so excited about all the presenters, and I’ve been able to see some of the layouts they are going to present. This event is all pre-recorded so even if you can’t participate on the 21st (even I can’t participate that day!) you can do it at your own convenience - the videos will remain accessible to you through the exclusive links indefinitely.

For those who are local, I have THREE SPOTS left for our in person event on June 27 & 28. Once those spots are gone I will update the info page (link in next paragraph)

If you are not interested in the cropping events but would like to help the cause, donations of any amount are very much appreciated - you can use the same link on the info page linked above. You’ll get the email inviting you to the Facebook group but you can ignore that. :)

The shirts this year are being printed through an Alzheimer’s Association printer and will ship direct to you, so you won’t have to wait for me to get around to going to the post office!

Deeper in the Woods

Back in 2021 CM released a collection called Deep in the Woods, and they’ve brought back a “refreshed” version this year. This collection has photo-realistic images of things you see in the woods, perfect for hiking, camping and other outdoor adventure layouts.

As always there is a buy-it-all bundle where you can save 10% on the whole collection, plus get the Project Playbook free! The bundle includes: 12x12 Designer Paper Pack (12 pk), 12x12 Texture Paper Pack (12 pk), Stickers, Laser Cut Embellishments, Laser Cut Borders, Mats and Evergreeen Border Punch. CM continues to try to clean out their excess punch inventory by putting selected punches on sale at 50% off. New Happy Album Colors!

Someone asked me recently if I thought we’d be getting new Happy Album colors anytime soon, and silly me, I thought we wouldn’t get anything until the fall — but I was wrong!! Starting Monday you’ll be able to select from three bright summery colors: Orange, Petal Pink and Grape.

Simple Page Kit #6

If you are collecting the monthly Simple Page kits (and didn’t do the annual plan) it’s time for kit #6. This one is a Dad/Fishing theme, however it can be be adapted to use for other purposes if you don’t have photos that go with that.

Save on Custom Spines!!

Have you tried creating a custom spine? It’s a great way to make your albums easier to identify, and even at full price I think it’s a great value. But from June 2nd through 30th, when you order at least three spines, you’ll get 33% off all the spines in your order! That’s like buying two and getting one free!

I have loved my custom spines - and have been surprised that it’s meant my family looks at my finished albums more often. Turns out that even though ~I~ knew that 2004 was the light green album, my family did not. Now they just have to look at the words on the spine!

I made a YouTube video tutorial about how the process works. It’s quite easy! My suggestion is that you make a note of the fonts and sizes you use for your albums so that you can reference them if you want to match them later.

Be aware that if you order custom spines your order may require a couple of extra days to ship.
