Splash into Summer (with free gifts!)

Happy Independence Day scrapbook friends! I hope everyone had a lovely 4th of July and you were able to celebrate in all the ways that are meaningful to you. Thanks for all the sweet messages about losing my cat last week - I truly love the feeling of community that we have in our scrapbooking family, even if we haven’t met in real life! Your well wishes were much appreciated.

This week CM surprised me - I knew we had new products coming, but the promo was unexpected! Only bad part is I want all THREE of the choices! I’m sure they do that on purpose! Luckily as I continue the scrapbook room reorganization that is never going to end, I need a few more organizers and I’m glad I procrastinated ordering them. :)

Event Schedule

Sorry I messed up the event sign up last time, for crops at my studio in Madison, Alabama. Writing emails late at night after a big crop is probably a bad idea. Luckily this weekend is a holiday for me too! It should be fixed now!

Wednesday Day Crops: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm (new time for 2025)
Wednesday, July , 9, 16 & 23 No frills, just time to work on your current projects. Bring your own lunch or we usually go in on a DoorDash order. Wednesdays never sell out so if you decide in the morning that you need a spontaneous crafting day, shoot me a message and odds are we can fit you in!

Happy Album Circle: 6:00 - 8:00 pm
In Person: CHANGED: Tuesday, July 15
On Zoom: Wednesday, July 9th

Weekend Crops: Friday, noon - 9:00 pm and/or Saturday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. July 11 & 12, July 18 & 19. (Dates are weird the next couple of months because I will be out of town for several weeks in July/August).

Project Recipe Layout Class, 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Tuesday, July 22. No idea which layouts we are doing this month - it depends on what CM releases between now and then! You can also add on the monthly Simple Page Kit for an additional $5 (it’s a $6 retail value!)

I think we are going to end up being able to do two weekend crops in August after all - the Kids Crop I had scheduled has turned out to be a bad date for almost everyone interested, so we’ll do crops the last two weekends (since I’m gone the first three!) August 22 & 23 and 29 & 30. That second weekend is Labor Day weekend, which I know isn’t ideal for a lot of people, so hopefully the previous weekend works better!

I’ll still be able to email you while I’m off on all my adventures later this month, of course, so August sign ups will happen once the July events are all concluded.

Retreat Update

I thought about deleting this block, but I have been in touch with the Marriott and supposedly they are trying to work with us. Hopefully nobody has made other plans for “our” weekend, but I don’t even know if I should have you save it or not. September 18-21.

If I do not have a signed contract in place within the next ten days I will officially cancel the event for September, so please hang on until then for me!

Thanks to one of you who shared an idea with me, I do think we might have a lead on a place for next Spring, though, which would be great!

If you participated in the Memories Matter 2025 Virtual fundraiser with me, you saw that darling jellyfish layout that used the Bubbles BMC.
