Happy Independence Day, scrapbook friends! Hope you are all staying cool during this heat wave! I survived a weekend Advisor retreat in Dallas by staying indoors at the hotel the whole time! But tonight I’m headed out to our town’s 4th of July celebration (yes, on the 3rd!) and that means I have to be outside! I’m hydrating now!

Because of the holiday, Creative Memories will naturally be closed on Tuesday, so our new product release is coming on WEDNESDAY at noon Central time. That’s part of why my email is once again coming to you on a Monday this time — but I admit that I spent the weekend scrapbooking and let myself procrastinate writing this to you!

I have also launched a fun YouTube series this month, Christmas in July, using the Joy to the World collection. I hope you will check it out!

THANK YOU to everyone who participated in The Longest Day crop/fundraiser! Thanks to you we were able to raise over $2200 for the Alzheimer’s Association! I hope to make this an annual event so save Friday, June 21st for me!

Weekend crops (Friday noon - 9:00 pm and/or Saturday 10:00 am - 6:00 pm) This weekend, July 7 & 8 will be our annual Independence Day cookout - my husband will bring the grill over and cook burgers and hot dogs for us on Friday night! Sadly he’s busy on Saturday but we’ll have him make extra and heat those up for lunch that day!

Second weekend crop will be July 21 & 22. For planning purposes, our August crops will be on August 11 & 12 and 15 & 26.

*Zoom crops happen every Tuesday morning whether I am able to attend or not - several of the girls go on without me!

Rocket City Scrapbook Retreat

We are less than two months away from Mission 15 of the Rocket City Scrapbook Retreat! We are doing this over Labor Day weekend again so you can choose a 4-day or a 5-day option. August 30 - September 3 or 4. A few people have asked me about partial weekend options and if those are going to be available I will announce that in my email on July 30th.

I am very excited to welcome Diane Lampert from the Creative Memories Home Office to my studio in Madison for a FREE drop-in event to introduce you (and your friends!) to all that Creative Memories has to offer! I would love to have you stop by to create a simple border, card and scrapbook layout, and to see my event space and learn about the various ways I can help you feed the creative part of your life (and probably make some new friends!) Of course we will have snacks too, and I’ll bring several of my own finished albums for you to look at.

As always, for my local friends, if you would like to add your order to mine and pick it up at one of my cropping events to save on shipping, please EMAIL me your order by 11:00 am on Wednesday. I will pay 2-day shipping to get it here so hopefully it will arrive Friday and be available for pickup on Saturday, July 8th. (Having a Wednesday release is throwing off my predictions!)

Have you ever seen an album design that you loved but wish it were on a different color? Well here is your chance to mix and match foiled designs and some exclusive colors to get exactly the album style you want! My only worry is that I want ALL the designs in all the colors! (Except the Mi Amor heart - I already had that one in three different colors, so I can pass this time! But OH the seashells! and the bike!)

But really only the USA album is very country-specific, the Canada and Australia albums look like they’d have a lot of uses for some of us here in the US! (I actually think I like the Bush Hideaway artwork better than the On the Farm version!)
