Hello Scrapbook friends! Welcome to April! I am loving all the signs of Spring - except for the yellow pollen all over our cars, and the fact that we keep sneezing! (It’s just allergies! I promise!)
Thanks to those of you who attended the “field trip” Rocket City retreat to Lake Guntersville, and I’m looking forward to seeing so many of you who are already signed up for one of the National Scrapbook Day weekends!

Get ready to “Squeeze the Day” with our fun citrus themed National Scrapbook Day celebrations! Unfortunately, there did not seem to be enough interest in the Virtual event for me to devote a whole weekend to that, so that part has been canceled.
However, we are still meeting in person at my studio in Madison Alabama. Space is filling up fast, so if you plan to attend you will want to register ASAP! (As soon as the event is full I will turn off the registration link, so if the website lets you register, it’s not too late!)

We have such a great cropping group, and we would love to have you be a part of it! All events are held at my rented workshop space, and all guests get the use of their own 6’ table!

Wednesday Day Crops: (Almost) Every Wednesday from 9:00 am - 2:30 pm. $10.00. April 5, 12, 19, 29.
Weekend Crops: Friday from noon - 9 pm and/or Saturday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
1st April Crop: April 7 & 8. This is Easter weekend so feel free to wear something Easter-themed for our group photo, and use the occasion as inspiration for your potluck item!

Weekly no-frills Zoom Crops: Every Tuesday from 10:00 am - noon Central Time (these happen every week, even if I am not able to join you!) Join the Facebook Group for the current month’s zoom link! Interested in a Beginner/Refresher Class?

As I look around my crop group, I notice that most of the people attending are my age now - NOT the age I was when I started scrapbooking in my 20s. I know there are people out there taking photos, and as scrapbookers we all hope that the people we love will learn to love this hobby too, right?
I would love to get some beginner classes on my calendar not only to help reach brand new scrapbookers, but to help those of you who maybe have been away for a while.

If you remember clear back to January, CM introduced a new Totally Tonals program for the year. We’ll be getting three new selections of tonal Designer Paper and Stickers each quarter, and they will correspond with existing cardstock colors. The stickers are all of a similar design (but with different words!) and are sized to work perfectly with the CM Circle and Square punches and Custom Cutting System shapes.
This quarter we have Soft Pink, Tangerine and Red. When you purchase any combination of six of these items, you’ll get a sampler pack of the coordinating cardstock (four sheets of each of the three colors) free! |

Graduation season is just around the corner, and it can be a very motivational occasion to create a special scrapbook! Just in time for those milestone events we have the new Congrats, Grad! collection.
The classic Black, Gold & Silver color scheme makes it easy to add whatever other colors you choose to show off your school spirit. This will also coordinate beautifully with our Back to School and Silver & Gold collections! Starting Monday there will be a new section on my website that says “Shop Graduation Here” where you can find everything all together!

New 8x8 Paper Album Options

8x8 Paper Albums are a great project for kids, new scrapbookers or anyone who wants to quickly make a photo gift for a friend! They come pre-decorated, so all you need to add are your photos (and maybe a few embellishments, if you want to “fluff it up” a little bit!)
I will be incorporating these into my beginner classes, and I’m excited for brand new scrapbookers to be able to leave their first class with a completely finished project they can immediately put on their coffee table for their family to enjoy! If in the future they decide to do larger projects, the 8x8 pages can be cut apart and put in our traditional 8x8 pocket pages, or you can even incorporate the mini album onto your 12x12 layout!
The 8x8 Custom Paper Albums take it up a notch, and allow you to digitally design an album that you can either add photos to before you print it out (great for a family reunion or sports team!) OR to create a blank album using one of CM’s many digital product collections that you can then get together with your friends and each customize your own with your own photos. How fun would that be for a girls’ weekend or kids’ project?)
