Results of our fundraiser!!!

Final numbers are in! Thank you ALL for your generous donations to the Alzheimer’s Association through my The Longest Day fundraiser this year. I am BLOWN AWAY by the results! As of midnight on Saturday, June 29, through a combination of direct donations, crop fees and a percentage of your purchases during the fundraiser period, we have raised $8042.32!!!

Although my scheduled fundraiser period has ended, I believe the donation link on the Alzheimer’s website will stay active through the end of the summer, so if at any time you would like to make a donation, it will still go directly to the Alzheimer’s Association.

If not - next year I hope to be doing something even bigger and BETTER! (And Noreen has said she will come back, so let’s keep our fingers crossed on that one!)

July Crop: Friday, July 12 noon - 9:00 pm and/or Saturday, July 13, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Project Recipe Layout Class: Tuesday, July 30, 6:00 - 8:00 pm
(Usually we do this on the 4th Tuesday, but I’ll be at my family reunion so we are doing the 5th Tuesday).

It looks like I will not be able to have a Kids Camp this year - I know there were several of you who expressed an interest, but I had no idea school would be starting on August 1st!! We have our tri-annual extended family reunion in July and I just couldn’t make the calendar work this year. I’m so sorry, I would have loved to do something with your kids! Next year I hope CM releases the kids kits earlier in the year so that I will have time to come up with a plan!! (And next year I don’t have a reunion to attend!)

NEW Pet Collections

Showcase your furry pals with the new pet collections — Go Fetch and Purrr-fect Kitty Cat!

I was able to show the previews of this collection to the ladies at my crop this weekend and everyone loved the darling PawPrints on my Heart album cover which will be perfect for anyone who wants to document the four-legged friends in their life.

These are what I personally call “mini collections” with fewer items than we get in a full collection - but OH are they cute! Each has a Designer Paper pack (6 pieces), stickers (3 sheets) and a NEW cut-apart Mat Paper Pack, which has mats on one side and neutral patterns on the back side (6 pieces). CM Japan has been offering their mat packs this way for quite a while and I am excited that we get to try them here — I’d love to have your feedback on these!

There are also two very fun punches, the Pet Palace (doghouse) punch and the Feline Dine Punch (cat bowl and fish bones).

There is not a Buy-it-All Bundle for either of these collections, however there are Decorative Bundles which include the paper, mat paper and stickers. Album cover and punches are sold separately.

Additionally, there is a new This Life Krafted Rainbow Paper pack which has bright colors on one side and kraft paper designs on the other side. People often ask me why CM doesn’t offer any kraft paper, and I don’t know the answer, but maybe this will be a good compromise. (Kraft paper is that brown stuff like paper bags, not sure where it got its name!)

We also have a brand new PINK Razzleberry cardstock - I’ve missed our old Raspberry a lot and hope this will fill that hole in my cardstock collection. Plus apparently there are people who have felt like the CM White cardstock wasn’t “white enough” and so they’re releasing a new Bright White cardstock. I’m very interested to see how it compares to the stuff I’m used to!

FUN bring-back album covers

For the next couple of weeks, CM is offering some former album cover designs in all new color options! Starting Monday, July 1 and running through Friday, July 12 (starts and ends at noon), you can choose from any of the following album cover options:

New Organizers!

Does anyone out there have all the scrapbook organizers they need? I know I sure don’t!! One of these days I’m sure I’ll find the perfect solution to keep me completely organized — and until then I sure have fun trying!

Available starting Monday we have the great Paper File Mate to help organize your 12x12 papers. I love the Power Project Folders for most of my collections, but for some of the bigger collections (like last year’s Totally Tonal) I have wished for a slightly larger storage option, and I think this will be great for that. It’ll also work well for storing completed layouts before you get them in an album, or for organizing premade layouts you might not have photos for yet. I’m really excited about this.

And, a beloved organizer from the past is the Memory Mate Case, now in the fun Rainbow Dot design! These zippered cases have countless uses, both in and out of the scrapbook room! Use them to store pens, scissors and tape runners, or the blades and patterns for your Custom Cutting System. Or use them for toiletries when you travel, to corral plugs and cords for your electronics, and more! These make great gifts even for the non-scrapbookers in your life!

As I said earlier, I am heading out of town for the week (I’ll let you guess where I am going…) but my family will be here at home so I still plan to place an order on Monday which will be ready for local pickup at my crop on July 12/13.
